Our phones are an extension of ourselves and we find in extremely pertinent that everyone should have access to deeper connection to themselves when using it. This is why we create technology that can facilitate this form of interaction.

Creative expression, by safeguarding and spending time with our thoughts, ideas, and creative insights that can help manifest what we care about.

Your thoughts are your own. We take matters of data privacy very seriously. The CocoonWeaver app and its accompanying services are designed to maintain the private and personal nature of your thoughts, your ideas and your voice or audio recordings as well as your transcriptions thereof as well as your transcripts and text notes. It is in our core philosophy as a brand, company, organization, to allow anyone using our app to feel that they can open up to themselves using their technology. In every sense, privacy is fundamental, not only for our end user, but for our business model and and survival as a company.
This policy applies to the “CocoonWeaver” app published on the Apple App Store, the CocooonWeaver app, published on the Android Play Store, www.cocoonweaver.com (our website) and other sites and services related to CocoonWeaver.
These are the core principles of our policy:
- Your audio and textual/transcript data is encrypted and stored on your personal device.
- CocoonWeavers’ transcription is done on-device, meaning it does not leave your phone for processing.
- We do not and cannot see or listen to your notes.
- We don’t have access to any of your content.
- We don’t collect any personally identifying information from the app.
- Your data belongs to you.
We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the highest level of privacy regulation. As such, we follow the obligations under
Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the applicable provincial legislations the EU’s General Protection Data Regulation (GDPR)

California’s Consumer Protection Act (CCPA) and California Online Privacy

Data Collection
We are firm believers in data minimization and strive to minimize the amount of information collected.
The Origin AG (“Origin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the CocoonWeaver iOS, Apple WatchOS, Android and (future watch support) applications and related website www.cocoonweaver.com (each, an “App” or a “Site”, respectively) and several related services (all such services, “Services”).
This is your data and while we currently do not offer a cloud backup for privacy reasons, we offer you full control to export your content for your own storage and backup solutions.
What Information We Collect and How We Use It:
The CocoonWeaver App does not collect personal information which we can identify you with.
If you reach out to us, outside of the CocoonWeaver App, we will collect personal the information you provide, in order to contact you in order improve our services and communicate with you about these services.
Anonymous Information does not enable identification of or contact with individual persons.

If you provide us feedback or contact us via e-mail, we will collect your name and e-mail address, as well as any other content included in the e-mail, in order to send you a reply.
The Site and our other Services may also contain links and interactive features with various social media platforms (e.g., widgets). If you already use these platforms, their cookies may be set on your device when using our Site or other Services. You should be aware that Personal Information which you voluntarily include and transmit online in a publicly accessible blog, chat room, social media platform or otherwise online, or that you share in an open forum may be viewed and used by others without any restrictions.
We are unable to control such uses of your information when interacting with a social media platform, and by using such services you assume the risk that the Personal Information provided by you may be viewed and used by third parties for any number of purposes.
Third-Party Processing:
In-app data point analytics are performed through AWS Pinpoint with data stored at AWS servers in Germany. Apple’s AppStore, the Google PlayStore, Google Analytics and AWS are the only data processors that we use.

No third-parties have access to this data. We cannot personally identify you with this information.
Mobile Services:
This information is used to help us improve the features and services that we provide within the App. Examples of information that may be collected and used include how you use the App(s) (which features are most frequently visited), and information about the type of device you use. In addition, in the event our App(s) crash on your mobile device, we will receive information about your mobile device model software version and device carrier, which allows us to identify and fix bugs and otherwise improve the performance of our App(s). This information is sent to us as aggregated information and is not traceable to any individual and cannot be used to identify an individual. We cannot personally identify you with this information.
